MRI-guided PRT, facet and sacroiliac joint injections in Kaltenkirchen
Our expanded information page now explains MRI-guided periradicular therapy (PRT), facet joint injections and sacroiliac joint injections. The information is intended to help you understand the options and prepare questions for a personal consultation.
What are these treatments?
PRT is a targeted injection near a nerve root. Facet joint injections concern the small joints between adjacent vertebrae; sacroiliac joint injections concern the joints connecting the sacrum and pelvis. When findings are suitable, targeted injections may be considered for assessment or temporary pain relief.
Individual decisions and informed consent
Suitability is assessed individually after examination and discussion of symptoms and imaging findings. Benefits, limitations, risks and preparation are explained before treatment. A successful outcome cannot be guaranteed. Tell us about medications, blood thinners, allergies and implants, and do not stop medication on your own.
